At this point the main part of the story most of the plot is flashbacks spoken through the eyes of Tom to Dr. Lowerstein. Most of the tales are told about Savannah and these are stories that not only damaged her childhood but shaped her adult life in an unfortunate way. Most of the stories are tales that envolve many similair events, almost all of which end in an explosive outburst by their shrimper father.
I find that I continue thinking about how Tom turned out relevantly normal in life. Savannah often times says in the text and Tom agrees that the reaction she had was the only relevantly normal on to the chidhood they encountered in the Wingo household
